As a Cancer, you are ruled by the moon, so while everyone will enjoy this August 22 full moon, you will love it more. For you, the moon is weighted more heavily in your chart, so it will likely produce bountiful, dramatic results for you. Last month the moon did not conjoin Jupiter, so this month’s August 22 full moon sparkles brightly and should make you thrilled about financial news coming just when you need it most.

There is another reason this month’s full moon could produce the money you need. Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, exited Aquarius, your eighth financial house, from May 13 through July 28, when he went into Pisces. That’s a good placement for you too, but Aquarius is better for your financial picture. Jupiter’s small visit to Pisces was meant to give you a more lasting picture of what’s to come in larger form in 2022 when Jupiter goes back into Pisces. From now on (having started July 28), you will have the planet of good fortune in your eighth house of other people’s money until December 29 of this year. When it comes to money, you have all the luck now.

This is the best full moon I have seen in ages for you. It will act like a can opener to unlock all the financial goodies that Jupiter has for you. Because it will light your eighth house of other people’s money, you might receive a generous commission, royalty check or licensing fee, a large insurance payout, tax refund, or college financial aid package. You may receive money from a government program, or you may be sent a valuable gift (or cash) for your birthday. If you applied for a loan or mortgage, you could easily get a letter saying you qualified for that loan. The sum would be large and the terms very good. If anyone owes you money, it is likely to come in now. When it comes to money, from August 22 to 27 you will be a money magnet.

Now let’s turn to other topics. You might be thinking, is this month only about money? No! You will have time for fun and relaxation, too. While you will be watching your pennies early in the month, it is likely you could take a quick trip, within 200 miles of your home, in the second half of August.

Events on or near Friday, August 6, may give you the jitters when a large expense you never expected comes up out of the blue. This will be nobody’s favorite day as Uranus, the surprise planet, will challenge the Sun, causing shock. To make matters harder, Saturn will press on you at the same time, so you will have to pay the piper with no room for put off the obligation. It might be the cost of a recent trip or an expense you laid out for your child that gives you sticker shock. Family will be sympathetic to your need to solve this financial jam and may give you money in the last third of August so that you can make ends meet.

The new moon in Leo, August 8, will bring difficulties to a romantic relationship. You may feel things have not been going in the right direction and may require a lot of effort to put that relationship back on track. Here again, the topic of money will come up and appears to be either at the root of the problem or a strong contributor to it. If you don’t have a love relationship that is causing stress, then it might have to do with your need to care for a child, or work you are doing on a creative project that appears to be running over the top. Stay optimistic because your finances could change for the better sooner than you think.

On the sidelines, Pluto will be in ideal angle to Mercury, so if you are traveling on or near Sunday, August 22, you will thoroughly enjoy your trip. It could be quite inspirational to you, and you might even find that your trip transforms you. (If traveling at this time, August 22, you may be returning—or leaving—home at this date, but if you are leaving on a full moon, you aren’t likely to stay for long while.)

This full moon will help you in a very direct way if you were born on March 20 or 21, plus five days, or if your natal moon is in Aries or Aquarius at 29 degrees. The same is true if you have a planet in Aries, Leo, Sagittarius, Gemini, Libra, or Aquarius at 29 degrees (adding a tolerance of an extra five degrees). Air-sign Aquarius gets along beautifully with fire-sign Aries—you feel invigorated by air.

Before I go, want to ask you to watch Friday, August 20, because unexpected career news is likely to reach you. Uranus will send golden beams to Mercury, translating into a prestigious rise in your career, as well as more money for you, too. When August begins, your mind will be moving quickly, for you have a long to-do list, and you’re eager to tackle it and not miss any details. This is being caused by your ruling planet Mars now moving through Virgo. The items on your list might have to do with your home-related projects and the people needed to help you there, such as maintenance people, painters, and so forth. On the other hand, your to-do list may cover complex work projects that have many moving parts, and you would need to stay on top of the details. It is also possible you are hiring people to help you, and if so, it’s a good time to interview candidates and make your choice.

Your guardian planet, Mars, now being in Virgo will also coax you to attend to health matters—to have your annual physical, and to get screenings like a mammogram or a test for prostate problems, as the case may be. If you are having a medical procedure, see if you can schedule it during the first week of August or on or near August 23. This would be a good month to start a fitness program or to make a change in technique. Streamline the foods you are consuming, too—you will feel your best if you eat only good things for your body. Virgo is choosy—and with Mars in Virgo, you seem to be as well!

In your home life, you may be going through your closets deciding what needs to go to the tailor, shoes that need to be shined or sent to the cobbler for new heels or soles and to be made good as new, and items in your wardrobe that should be dry cleaned. Also, note buttons that need to be sewn on that have fallen off or are hanging by a string. It’s the ideal time to get your clothing, shoes, and accessories in perfect shape.

We come now to the new moon on August 8, falling at 16 degrees Leo, which is problematic. This new moon will be under extreme pressure from Uranus in Taurus and will be exactly square the Sun and new moon in Leo (a square creates sharp obstacles and tension). To make matters harder, this new moon will also be opposed by Saturn from your friendship sector, so you may find that you and a friend don’t see eye to eye. There will be crosscurrents everywhere, and to deal with this chaotic new moon you will need to remind yourself to be realistic and practical—this will be your only option to deal with what comes up.

Saturn in your sixth house will press on you, though, no matter how this new moon will affect you. It seems a friend will concern you, for the moon rules your eleventh house of friendship. It’s possible she (the moon is feminine) will be ill, possibly in the hospital or in physical therapy, and needs your kind, emotional support. If her health is good, there may be something else going on in her life and desperately needs you to jump in and help, possibly to care for her children. Whether it’s as an advocate for your friend or for yourself, you seem to be interacting with medical personnel this month . I always find mid-year the best time to have annual medical exams, and maybe you do, too.

The sixth house, which holds Saturn, also rules your day-to-day projects and overall workload, so early this month you may feel the weight of the responsibility to get everything done. Or you may need to hire people to help you and are frustrated by the salary being asked for by the candidates you want. Alternatively, you may need to upgrade your computers or other equipment, and you are wondering how you can manage that.

In a month that has plenty of mysterious twists and turns, the very area that might have pressured you—your work life or concern over your own health or the health of a friend—will show a near-miracle breakthrough by the end of the month. This month is really a surprise-a-minute. If the start of the month is hard, the last third is splendid!

I have to give you a little background. Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, took a little trip out of Aquarius where he was since December 19, 2020. Jupiter took a trip into Pisces from May 13 to July 28, but good- fortune Jupiter is now newly back in your sixth house of health and work projects, just where you need him to be! Jupiter will work to calm your fears and help you with health and work-related projects, including your possible need to hire staff or add new digital equipment. Best of all, Jupiter will expand your incoming business, which is perhaps the best news of all during a pandemic.

Mars is one of your rulers, and Pluto is the other. Over this new moon, Mars and Pluto will be in perfect sync. With Mars stimulating your eleventh house of friendship, hopes, and wishes, and Pluto currently in your third house of quick, short-distance travel, you may need to drive under 200 miles to get to the special event. As an aside, you do well whenever your two rulers, Mars and Pluto, are harmonious—something that does not happen that often. In early September, you will see how happy you feel and how easily things will click into place.

Keep in mind to do all your important actions early in this month because from September 26 to October 18, Mercury will be retrograde, and you do not want to tangle with that aspect. Mercury, when in a weak, resting position in retrograde, will cause mix-ups and delays as you won’t have access to Mercury’s best powers. It’s not the time to buy a new laptop, smartphone, car, or any other major electronic item, for Mercury rules the spark in those items and the gears and moving parts in all machines. Buy what you need in the first half of the month, and wait until a few days after October 18 to resume shopping for high-priced items. (You can buy clothing during the retrograde, but be sure to keep the receipts.) It is never a good idea to sign a contract when Mercury is out of phase.

Now let’s return to the discussion of your social life, for as you go along this month, things will only get better and more exciting. The full moon will occur on September 20 in your fifth house of true love. This is a rare event, for you only get one full moon a year in your most romantic sector.

In a month when it appears you will be mixing and mingling a lot, you may be invited to another dream of a party on or near this date (within two days prior, or five days after, September 20). Neptune, the planet of unconditional love, will be conjunct the full moon giving this full moon the possibility of being unforgettable. If you are not invited to a party, you may decide to travel with your one-and-only to a place near the sea, for the moon will be in watery Pisces.

Just as exciting about this silvery full moon, Venus will have moved into Scorpio (September 10 to October 7), putting the icing on your cake. Venus will make your charms irresistible, so if you are single, dress your best because Cupid will be watching out for you, with his fleet of little cherubs with their tiny bows and arrows.

You seem to have a strong case of wanderlust and are hoping to leave town, and happily, it appears you will get your wish. The new moon in your third house will arrive on Monday, September 6, which is the popular Labor Day holiday in the US. That new moon will fall in Virgo, 15 degrees. If you do travel on this new moon of September 6, it is very possible that you will choose to take a short trip in your vicinity, approximately 200 miles from your home base. This would be a good time to go.

The reason I love this new moon is that Uranus, at 15 degrees Taurus, will send shimmering rays to this new moon. Its positive influence will extend for a long time into the future. Uranus in Taurus brings surprises, and when in superb aspect to the Sun and new moon in Virgo as Uranus will be this month, your career surprises should be happy ones. It appears you’ll get plenty of opportunity to pack and go.

Your travels may be for pleasure, but there’s an even greater possibility that you will make your trip for business. Mars is also currently in Virgo, this same third house of short travel, contracts, and negotiations, and will remain so after the new moon of September 6. This is significant because Mars is the natural ruler of your solar tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement. This is why I feel it’s very possible you’ll want to do a face-to-face with a client to negotiate a deal. It appears to be an excellent idea to meet—your financial aspects are glittering now, too.

Why is your outlook for making money so strong and bright? At the time of the Monday, September 6, new moon, and especially in the handful of days that follow it, Venus in Libra will be in perfect angle to Jupiter in Aquarius. I should add another bit of information: Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, has been in your home sector since December 19, 2020, last year. He took leave of your home and family sector temporarily on May 13, but just recently, on July 28, returned to Aquarius, your home sector. The result is that you are now in the best year of 12 years to move or improve the look and value of your present space. If you need to sell property, you will likely get a generous sum—very likely more than your asking price. Your support from family will be extraordinarily strong, so if you need money from a parent for any home or family-related reason, ask, and you stand a good chance of getting the money you need. This will be true even if your family has never given you a loan or outright gift of money before.

In case you are curious, from May 13 to July 28 Jupiter was in Pisces to give you a view of what is to come on a larger scale in 2022. Benefic Jupiter was working on your private, emotional life while there, and will be on a mission in 2022 to help you find breathtaking, lasting love. Pisces is your fifth house of love, and you might have already seen the magic that Jupiter can perform while in Pisces. If not, you have much of next year to experience this bewitching trend.
